All The fires near where I live

Hey for those of you out there who are looking for a charitable contribution...I've got one. These fires are kicking the cumulative asses of everyone around where I live. Apparently the CIC and Veep are not paying much attention to the little Farmer Joe America. The fire fighters are busting trying to get all the flames under control. There are folks who have lost their homes, their fields, and more. If you are of the inclination...

A relief fund was set up to help both victims and those working to fight the fires. The fund will be available to help provide emergency financial relief to victims and volunteers. Donations may be made to any financial institution in Dawes or Sioux County, or mailed to the Dawes-Sioux Fire Fund, PO Box 1125, Chadron, NE 69337.

Lullaby Acedemy

So I made my myspace www.myspace.com/kjwrite and I was putzing around looking for music that I wanted to add. I discovered a band I really like and think are cool. I agree with lots of their politics and they just seemed all around pretty cool. Read the notes – funny gents. And good tunes.

Old Ladies

Three old ladies were sitting side by side in their retirement
home reminiscing.
The first lady recalled shopping at the green grocers and
demonstrated with her hands, the length and thickness of a cucumber she
could buy for a penny.
The second old lady nodded, adding that onions used to be much
bigger and cheaper also, and demonstrated the size of two big onions she
could buy for a penny a piece. The third old lady remarked, "I can't
hear a word you're saying, but I remember the guy you're talking about."

Men

Yes, I am going to bag on them. I have a compliant/question. Why set a particular time? IE I will call at XXX or I will see you at XXX if you have no intention - hell even if you do have the intention of following through. If you set a specific time guys or gals then stand by your word and come through. How long does it take to call and say, hey, busy right now, but I'll call you later. Or better yet do that in the first place. Just say later.

One Flaw In Women

One Flaw In Women
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
but they hold happiness, love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
They stand up to injustice.
They don't take "no" for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are strong when they
think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what
makes the world keep turning.
They bring joy, hope and love.
They have compassion and ideas.
They give moral support to their
family and friends.
Women have vital things to say
and everything to give.
HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,
IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

W H Auden says

A daydream is a meal at which images are eaten. Some of us are gourmets, some gourmands, and a good many take their images precooked out of a can and swallow them down whole, absent-mindedly and with little relish.
